Yvette Nolan is a playwright, director and dramaturge. Her plays include BLADE, Job's Wife, Video, Annie Mae's Movement, Toronto Rex, The Starlight Tour, Scattering Jake, the libretto Hilda Blake and the radio play Owen. Directing credits include The Ecstasy of Rita Joe (Western Canada Theatre/National Arts Centre), Annie Mae's Movement, A Very Polite Genocide, Death of a Chief, The Unnatural and Accidental Women, Tales of an Urban Indian (Native Earth) and The Triple Truth, The Only Good Indian...(Turtle Gals), The Fasting Girl, Free's Point (Nakai Theatre). She is currently the Artistic Director of Native Earth Performing Arts. Yvette's new play Two Old Women, about the end of the world, aging, tradition, knowledge and sex, received a reading at Native Earth's Weesageechak Festival in January. In June, she will be in residence at the Banff Playwrights Colony.
