Diaspora Dialogues is entering an exciting new chapter in its evolution as a cultural organization dedicated to reflecting our city's diverse voices and bridging cultures. Click here for more information on how to support us!

The world in Toronto - Toronto in the world

Join a remarkable, diverse, stimulating and inspiring community of partners who believe that a fully inclusive arts sector is not a goal in and of itself – but the very foundation by which we all work together to create a vibrant, dynamic and sophisticated global city.

Toronto has extraordinary stories to tell. And Diaspora Dialogues is bringing our diverse voices to Canadian and international stages – entertaining, enlightening and engaging audiences along the way.

Having built a solid foundation and a strong reputation as an innovator in arts programming that is entertaining, vital and visionary, we are now poised to expand our core mandate, and spark an even more robust and far-reaching dialogue – across disciplines and across oceans. We are seeking broad-based support to sustain our growth and share our vision more widely. And we invite you to be an essential partner in our efforts.

Donations to this fund will provide Diaspora Dialogues with flexible program funding, enabling us to seed new cultural initiatives, be proactive with new opportunities and engage larger audiences in the intercultural creative experience.

EMERGING WRITERS

Donations will help expand our ability to engage emerging writers as well as aspiring writers from high schools in City of Toronto designated priority neighbourhoods in our mentorship programs – and in doing so, identify and foster a new generation of creative talent in Toronto.

URBAN UNDER GROUND

In collaboration with LIFT (London International Festival of Theatre), Diaspora Dialogues is commissioning writers and artists to explore the interplay Amani at Word on The Streetbetween the physical environment and the human built environment of cities. The collaboration will culminate in large-scale artistic productions in Toronto and London, as well as a documentary film and public dialogues involving experts across disciplines.

“Diaspora Dialogues really is bringing people together, allowing for the free flow of ideas and creativity. I think everyone benefits – whether writer, artist, thinker or citizen – from such a context.”
